          1.To learn the names of food ,some phrases學習食物名詞和詞組

          Important & difficult points and explanation[重難點解析]:

          1. -They eat a lot of beef in England. 在英國,人們牛肉吃的多.

          -So do we. 我們也是這樣.

          在英語中,說“甲如何如何,乙也如何如何”,為了避免重復第一句話,第二句話常用so + be(have或其它助動詞、情態動詞)+主語來表達,并且前后兩句的時態、助動詞均要求一致,如:

          Mary likes Chinese. So does Tom. 瑪麗喜歡漢語,湯姆也喜歡。

          His mother went shopping, and so did her mother. 他的媽媽去買東西了,她的媽媽也去了。 另外注意本課中People eat a lot of. =People often eat, a lot of= often“經常”

          2. few, a few, little, a little

          few和little的意思是否定的,表示“很少”或“幾乎沒有”;

          a few和a little的意思是肯定的,表示“有一些、有一點”。

          few, a few用于修飾可數名詞復數。而little, a little 修飾不可數名詞。

          如:I have a little money. 我有一點錢。

          He has a few friends, but he has few good friends. 他有幾個朋友,但是沒有什么好朋友。

          3. Help yourself to some soup. 隨便喝些湯吧。

          help yourself“隨便吃”常用于招待客人時客套語。說吃喝某東西時,常加介詞to。如:

          ①Help yourself to some fish. 請隨便吃些魚吧。

          4. Will you like to have dinner with me tonight?

          (1)情態動詞will 和you連用,在這里表示邀請或請求的意思。

          Will you come in , please? Will you stay for lunch ?

          (2)like sth. :表示對一般事物的喜歡, like doing 習慣行的動作, like to do 一次性的具體的動作. 如: He likes books.

          Tom likes swimming in summer.

          kitchen , cupboard, few, a few, salt, sugar pepper, oil, wine, beer, for, spoon, chopsticks, cabbage, pea, butter, cheese, soup,

          Step 2 SB page 1, part 1 Look, learn and answer

          Look at page i .Have students ask and answer questions as in the model.

          Step 3 SB page 1, part 2 learn and discuss

          Discuss the question with several students to give some examples.

          Then get the students to work in pairs.

          Do Wb, Lesson 57, Ex 2

          Step 4 SB page 1,part 3 Puzzle dialogues

          Explain the points of this part. Have them practice using the expressions in the dialogues. Also encourage them to speak freely as they would at a dinner. (give some help)

          Step 5 Workbook

          WB lesson 57, Ex.3 can be used to reinforce the practice in Part3 on page 1.
