1) n. “經(jīng)驗(不可數(shù)), 經(jīng)歷(可數(shù))”。

Yesterday afternoon Dad was telling me about his experiences as a young man. 昨天下午，爸爸給我講述他年輕時的經(jīng)歷。
2) v. “經(jīng)歷, 體驗”。
He experienced all sorts of difficulties and hardships. 他經(jīng)歷過各種艱難困苦。
3) adj. “有經(jīng)驗的”。
He is much experienced in teaching. 他有豐富的教學(xué)經(jīng)驗。

1)“特別的，個別的”，強(qiáng)調(diào)與同一團(tuán)體、范疇或種類的其他部分的分離和區(qū)分。

2)“挑剔的，苛求的”，通常指過分地注意或涉及細(xì)節(jié)和細(xì)微區(qū)別。
He is very particular about his food. 他吃東西很講究/挑剔。
be particular about(講究/挑剔)與in particular(特別地)是比較常用的習(xí)慣用法。
4. advance
該詞的關(guān)鍵是要注意它作動詞時的不同含義,記憶時要把握住其本意“(使)向……前/上” ,再按漢語習(xí)慣靈活地翻譯。
advance the growth of rice促進(jìn)水稻生長
He was advanced to the rank of captain. 他被提升為上尉。
As the wages advanced, so did the cost of living. 隨著工資的提高, 生活費(fèi)用也提高了。
另外,它的形容詞形式為：advanced “高級的，先進(jìn)的”。
